How It Works
This Level 3 university foundation programme is a 60-credit qualification (equivalent to one A-Level). The objective of the course is to provide learners with a foundation for a career in a range of organisations in relation to financial management and accountancy. It is designed to ensure that each learner is equipped with knowledge of accountancy, and the skills to adapt rapidly to change and progress with their learning.

Recording Financial Transactions
Gives learners a basic understanding of how to record financial transactions. Covers what is needed to record financial transactions accurately and completely, for example source documents. Explores how income and expenditure are classified and managed.

Management Information
Develops learners' awareness of aspects of cost and management accounting, including the purpose of management information. Introduces the use of ICT in the recording of management information, including its advantages and disadvantages.

Maintaining Financial Records
Provides learners with an understanding of why financial records need to be kept. The learner will develop the ability to use the double-entry system of bookkeeping and to prepare a three-column cash book and a bank reconciliation statement.
Assignments
Assessment is carried out through completely online written assignments, instead of traditional examinations. For this course, there are 3 written assignments, each requiring approximately 2,000–3,000 words.
You can submit your assignments securely through the online learning portal at your own pace. Assignments are then thoroughly marked and reviewed by your tutor, with detailed feedback provided to support your progress.
Entry Requirements
